V.A. 60's Garage Rock Jewels, Colección Completa (36 Vols). Parte 2ª, Vols. 10 - 18. Compilado por Brayan Rangel

 

Pues seguimos con esta interesante que nos presenta nuestro ya viejo amigo Brayan Rangel y que tan buena acogida tuvo en su primera parte. 

Os recuerdo que es una extensa colección en 36 volúmenes que estuvo presentando el años pasado en su canal de YouTube, al que recomiendo hacer una visita por la cantidad y calidad de las cosas allí publicados.

Los volúmenes de este mes consta de cinco volúmenes del mas puro garage, tres de moody garage y uno dedicado al beat europeo mas frenético, así que habrá para todos los gustos.

Sin alargarme mas, os dejo con la presentación que me ha mandado Brayan:

Hola amigos

Un gusto saludarlos nuevamente esta vez con la segunda parte de Garage Rock Jewels parte 2 Vol 10 a 18. Si la primera parte fue de su agrado esta vez espero no decepcionarlos y una vez mas agradezco a mi amigo Jose por permitir compartir esta gran obra es este blog.

Sin mas que decir empezamos con el Volumen 10 con la segunda parte Moody Garage, esta vez con el imperdible John Brown's Bodies con Out Of My Mind o la magnifica 7.30 Said de The Lykes Of Us, y una de mis favoritas It's So Hard de The Hucksters, este volumen es uno de mis favoritos y si uno le da dedicación y se le da una buena oportunidad es de los mejores.

Ahora el volumen 11, iniciando con You Were Telling Lies de The Castaways, no es la conocida banda de Minessota, estos son de Indiana, con un sonido totalmente primitivo, o esta versión de Jesters - I'll Laugh At You, que es diferente a la versión de acetato que compartí previamente, algunas canciones están sacadas de Last of The Garage Punk Unknowns, lo cual hace que este volumen sea mas primitivo y mas desconocido, ¡¡de esto se trata!!

El volumen 12 no podía fallar con The Alarm Clocks y Yeah, imperdible clásico; tambien tenemos a una de las agrupaciones mas salvajes de la decada, Gonn con Doin' Me In, y una canción que me gusta bastante The Cannons con Days go By, este volumen me recuerda al Volumen 4, trata de seguir la misma esencia, un poco mas Protopunk y Garage Punk, absolutamente recomendado.

El volumen 13 sigue con el la sub entrega de Beat Europeo, me inspire en la sub serie de Pebbles The Continent Lashes Back y World Beaters, esta vez mas centrado en Bélgica, Suecia y Grecia, por alguna razón le cogí cariño al Beat de Bélgica, hay buenas cosas por hallar, tiene su propio estilo y es mas psicodélico, Grecia es mas garage aunque es poco lo interesante que se puede hallar, no tengo mucho que decir pero es un buen volumen para mi gusto.

En el volumen 14 volvemos con el garage rock americano, destaco a Caretakers - You Dont Have to Pretend, que demuestra que los lados opuestos del single no son necesariamente malos, o Things To Come – Good Day, un cambio de estilo diferente de lo que escuchamos en Speak of The Devil, mi favorito aquí es The Ex-cels Like a dream y The Volcanoes Someone Like You, este volumen es un tanto más oscuro e interesante, y hay buenas rarezas aquí.

En el volumen 15 continuamos con la tercera parte de Moody Garage, esta vez con el clásico Next Step - Rivers Of Hate, y si escucharon a The Bittersweets con Hurtin Kind, el lado opuesto Summertime no me decepciono en absoluto, o también está The Magic Sounds con esta gran balada I'm In Love With you, aunque a muchos les agrada el lado opuesto del single;no `podía faltar algunas canciones de la mitica compilación Dark Clouds con The Clue – She’s The Reason, The Rejects – Down This Street Before, The Patriots - As Fall The Leaves, mi favorita aquí es The Tempters - I Will Go la mejor canción de este volumen.

El volumen 16 y 17 son diferentes a las anteriores entregas que he creado, siento que aquí es lo mejor que toda la colección ya que recopila algunos acetatos desconocidos y para nada decepcionantes y combina singles mas oscuros para mi gusto, de lo que es habitual, tenemos por ejemplo a Our Mothers Children con I'll Make You Sorry, esta versión es absolutamente salvaje, escelente cover o The Counts IV también conocidos como The Inexpensive Handmade Look con Discussion Of The Unorthodox Council, que es la misma canción de What Good is up, la diferencia es que es un demo de Audiodisc., hay demos como The Jackals con love times eight, The Exiles - Dead Or Alive o The Bedlam Four - No one left to Love y mi favorita tambien The Action con It's Not The Way (That Love Should Be), recomiendo mucho estos 2 entregas, me gustaría detallarlos más pero los dejo a su criterio. 

Y por ultimo esta el volumen 18, la tercera parte del Beat Europeo destaco a Groep 1850 de Holanda o a The Outsiders de Suecia con Kinda Dead, un estilo parecido a Hendrix, también, están The Groovy's* de Holanda con este interesante cover de Stop Get A Ticket y The Spectres de Inglaterra con esta version We Aint Got Nothin Yet, y por ultimo Novak's Kapelle de Austria con Doing That Rhythm Thing, en Austria no es tan usual encontrar buena música de los 60 pero esto de aquí fue una buena hazaña.

Y bien aquí concluye la segunda parte de esta gran entrega, no olviden comentar su volumen favorito y compartir sus opiniones y hasta el mes próximo con la tercera parte del vol 19 al 27.
