V.A. Great New England Garage Trip, Part. 2, Connecticut (5 Vols.)

Pues vamos ya por el segundo estado de Nueva Inglaterra, y para esta ocasión, me he fijado en los grupos de Connecticut, mas que nada por que erroneamente, creía que sería como Vermont, con pocos grupos, pero no, realmente había bastantes y muy interesantes. No quiero ni peensar lo que será la parte de Massachussets, por que allí si que hay a patadas.

Y quee como pasó en el volumen anterior, a este estado le faltan grupos de relevancia nacional, quizás los mas conocidos fueron "The Squires", The Ravens", "The Madhatters" o "The Ravens" y poco mas.

Hoy me gustaría centrarme en mis fuentes de información, pues realmente estas músicas ya empiezan a ser viejunas, pero que muy viejunas y hay muchas informaciones erróneas, que involuntariamente van corriendo por la red.

The Blue Mists

Para mi hay dos páginas esenciales: la primera sin duda, el blog amigo "The Basement Walls", donde hay mucha información y parece muy fiable, así como extensas listas de singles publicados en cada estado, y la segunda, "Garage Hangover", como no, el mejor sitio de garage, aunque realmente no hay demasiado de esta zona, pero con información directa y en los comentarios hay mucha cosa de primera mano.

También cuando me encasquillo, me resulta muy util "youtube", principalmente también por los comentarios, donde de vez en cuando aparecen los músicos, hijos, nietos, novias y demás de alguno de los músicos, y ayuda a obtener información contrastada, sobre la localización de la banda y sus grabaciones.

Después las páginas generales de música, entre ellas "Discogs" que todos conoocéis, aunque tiene bastantes errores, aunque lo que mas me gusta es que te redirige a buenos sitios de información, y en cuanto a singles, sin duda 45 cat, con una interesante sección de comentarios.

Y para terminar, la información que aparece en las fundas de los discos recopilatorios, pues la mayoría de bandas solo grabaron algún sencillo.

The In-Vaders

Con respecto al tema de la ubicación exacta también hay mucho lio, sobre todo con ese estado, al estar pegado al de Nueva York, con lo cual muchos grupos grababan o actuaban allí y se les situa en ese estado cuando no lo son.

También induce a error la dirección del manager, de los que lo tuviesen, pues muchas veces llevaban a grupos de varias ciudades e incluso estado, y en las fotos promocionales sale la dirección del mánager, que no tiene que coincidir con la de la banda.

Caso idéntico son los sellos discográficos, en los que no solo grababan los grupos locales, sino de otras ciudades.

Bueno, con esto quiero decir que seguramente esta colección estará llena de errores, pero he tratado de contrastar cada banda.

Creo que es una buena muestra de lo que se cocía por ese estado, muchas bandas desconocidas, pero  creo que muy interesantes.

Bueno, me meto ya con otro estado, que no se muy bien cual va a ser,  Massachussets no, que me asusta por la cantidad de grupos que hay.
