Hace tiempo, creo que fue el amigo Lemonflag escribió en un comentario, que para entederr la música hay que conocer el pasado, o algo por el estilo, cosa que adopté inmediatamente, aunque siempre había tenido curiosidad por escuchar las versiones originales de canciones que me gustan, y es que realmente muchas de las grandes canciones las he conocido antes por sus versiones que por su original.
Así que estas series de "Roots", que ya llevo unas cuantas, son una buena ocasión para conocer a los grandes clásicos y para ver de donde nuestros ídolos sacaron su inspiración.
El trabajo de hoy va dedicado a las versiones originales de las canciones de los "Rolling Stones", que sobre todo al principio de su carrera conformaban gran parte de su repertorio, y para ello y para no meterme en demasiados berengenales, he optado por coger solo las canciones que aparecen en sus discos oficiales que lanzó la banda en "Decca" y "London", entre 1963 y 1970, hasta que los Stones tuvieron ya su propio sello.
Hay también muchas grabaciones de esa década que aparecieron posteriormente en otros discos no oficiales, algunas de ellas de mucha calidad, tanto musical como de sonido, pero he decidido prescindir de ellas.
Aquí encontramos versiones clásicas del r´n´b americano mayoritariamente, y a diferencia de bandas americanas, que por su cultura musical, tiraban bastantes años para atrás, los Rolling Stones versionean mayoritariamente canciones de los sesenta o finales de los cincuenta, con escasas excepciones de grabaciones mas antiguas.
Así que aquí encontramos a los grandes del r´n´b y del rock and roll, como "Muddy Waters", "Chuck Berry", "The Crickets", "Bo Diddley" o "Howlin' Wolf" entre otros, mirando los mas clásicos, aunque tambien tenemos a los grandes de la música negra de esa década, como "Marvin Gaye", "Wilson Pickett", "Sam Cooke", "Otis Redding" o "Temptations", también por citar unos cuantos.
Y en cuanto a las canciones, está repleto de grandes éxitos de esos que tocaban todas las bandas tanto británicas como norteamericanas, Como "Poison Ivy", "Fortune Teller", Money", "Mona", "I'm a King Bee" o "Susie-Q" y un largo etcetera.
Las canciones, siguiendo la tónica general están ordenadas primero la original y luego la de los "Stones", en un orden mas o menos cronológico, con la excepciónd el tema de los "Beatles", "I Wanna Be Your Man", que apareció al mercado unos días antes la versión de Los "Rolling Stones".
Poco mas que añadir, solo ver la lista de canciones y observar que poco a poco se dedican a componer sus propias canciones y dejando casi totalmente de lado las versiones.

Hay canciones que nos sorprenden, pues creíamos que era de un artista y resulta que es de otro, i cluso hay muchas mas famosas la versió9n que lla original.

Me resulta raro, pues está todo junto, o lo descargas todo o nada. He revisado los enlaces e incluso lo he descargado de DRIVE sin ningún problema.
Te recomiendo que lo vuelvas a descargar de cualquiera de los dos sitios, que a veces las descargas dan errores, y supongo te irá todo bien.
Ya me cuentas como te ha ido.
