Hello Jose,
many thanks for this work!!!! I like Joe Meek music and till today I have thought that the good Meek tracks are only in the 60s.But you show with your great sampler how different the history of Meek music is and a fan of Joe Meek-I think-can only understand the development of Meek music when he get to know the 50s Meek music. So I am very very thankful that you work over years to make this impressively collection.
I am full of joy when it goes on in the future with your excellent Meek research, work and music collection!!!
Many greetings
Thomas
Buenos Días, muchas gracias por estos aportes. Un Saludo.
Thanks, Jose. Well, I guess this means a couple of hours of musical pleasure with a lot of songs I haven't heard before. And now for something completely different: the last sound sample you are offering is by Peggy Seeger. She's still recording! Her last album "First farewell" from 2021 is a beauty, especially the songs "All in the mind" and "The invisible woman" (they're on YouTube).
Hi Thomas.
For me it has been a surprise to discover this music of the fifties, practically all unknown to me.
Here is the basis of what Meek did in the sixties, hours and hours of study recording the most diverse music.
I have learned a lot.
Greetings
Jose

A great coincidence Rob,
Precisely this morning I was looking at Peggy Seeger's discography and I was surprised by the number of years she's been active, it's something to admire.
Her song "Cumberland Gap" has been stuck in my brain for a long time.
I'm downloading several of her albums, but she has so many, I don't know which ones are the best. Any suggestion?
cheers
Jose
Thank you so much, Jose. Love Joe Meek!
My friend Lopez
You are welcome!
Thanks for your visit, I hope your like it.
Keep on tuch
Jose
Jose
Thanks Jose
It is always good to find unheard music that leads to music we know.
If you don't where your coming from how do you know where your going.
Thank You Very Much.
Hi Lemonflag.
Very wise words of yours.
In recent times she learned a lot about British music, with this series and with the 100 Folk Masterpieces.
But... there is still much to learn.
all the best
Jose
Hi Loch.
You are welcome!
I hope you like this collection.
Keep in touch.
José
About Peggy Seeger: I only had 2 songs of her in iTunes: Dirty old town (from 1956 with Ewan MacColl) and The first time ever I saw your face (an original, from 1962),
but Sheila B played a lot tracks from her latest album First farewell (2021) in her WFMU-radioprogram Sophisticated Boom Boom, so I ordered that CD on Peggy's Bandcamp page and got it delivered with a personal note from Peggy herself. So I can only recommend that one. I don't know the others. BTW: Kept 7 tracks from your Joe Meek CD's: 3 by Big Bill Broonzy, 3 skiffle tunes and 1 by Peggy Seeger.
Hi Rob.
I have been listening to several records of hers with Ewan Maccoll, they are fantastic, and now I remember a song by this duo that was included in my 100 Irish and British Folk Masterpieces.
I will listen to her latest album carefully.
cheers
https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peggy_Seeger
Muy, muy interesante.
Jose
Great compilation Jose!!! I have always found Meek's engineering stood out from the rest at the time. Other producers and engineers still wore white coats at the time! As a youngster some records lept out at me and only years later did I discover they were Meek engineered.
regards Rob
My anonymous friend:
Meek's style is clearly distinguishable, especially in the sixties, there are songs that without knowing they have their own personal way of doing things. For example, a few days ago I discovered the band "The Cameos" with an organ that reminded me of Meek, and when I checked, indeed, Meek was behind that recording.
I hope you like this series
cheers
José
Bueno, no esta mal, se
sale de lo escuchado
ultimamente , con
reminiscencia country .
Amigo Orlando.
Jose

Hello Jose,
thanks for your answer. The problem is that the allmusic side has no more links for a download and Vol 1 to 3 one can't no more see the Tracklist. So my hope was that you perhaps has make a download in 2020 and has the albums in your archive and so perhaps it would be possible to give a new link for me for a download from you.Greetings Thomas
Hi Thomas, this collection is on YouTube:

I don't have it downloaded.

José
Hola Rick;

Saludotes
Jose
... y otra más.
¡Muchas gracias, Jose! ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ
Amiga Concha.
¡Empieza la aventura!
